Description: |
This is a unique day trip aboard
a motor-assisted raft which allows the visitor to leisurely enjoy and share in
the history, desert wildlife and beauty in the Black Canyon of the Colorado
River. We will provide round trip transportation from various Las Vegas
hotels if needed or you can choose to meet us at our check-in desk in Boulder
City. You will then be transported on our tour buses to the launch area at the
base of the Hoover Dam. This is an extremely rare view of the Hoover Dam that
very few people have the opportunity to see. At this time, you will board our
large comfortable rafts which have been carefully constructed with your party's
safety in mind. They have multiple air chambers and are outfitted with all of
the Coast Guard required and recommended safety equipment.
During this excursion, our experienced and knowledgeable guides will share with
you the history of this magnificent geological area. The high canyon walls will
leave you breathless. Be prepared to see Desert Big Horn Sheep, Osprey, and
Great Blue Heron in their natural setting. Bring your camera and plenty of film,
because it is seldom you will have an opportunity such as this to view the
wonders of nature.
Our rafts will stop along the shore to give you a chance to swim or play in the
cool clear waters below Hoover Dam. You might take this opportunity to enjoy the
box lunch provided while watching and listening to the sights and sounds of this
magnificent desert.
Your trip will end on the Arizona side of the river at Willow Beach. Here you
will have the chance to shop for distinctive remembrances of your trip before
boarding our comfortable tour buses for the return trip over the crest of the
Hoover Dam to our office or your Las Vegas hotel. |

9:30am, seasonal tour, operates only from February 1st - November 30th.
Tour Duration: Approximately XX hours (hotel to hotel).
You
should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Though this is a float trip, you may
get wet from splashes or spray. Also, you may want to wade or swim during the
shore break. You should wear a hat, since you will be in the sun, and bring
sunscreen. Bring your camera. This is one of the most scenic parts of the
recreation area. You will start by seeing the "back side" of Hoover Dam, an area
restricted to most visitors.

Re-Confirmation of Tours: Reservations must be reconfirmed in advance by
calling the Tour Operator at least 24 hours prior to your applicable tour
day/date. See your Tour Voucher for the applicable contact information in order
to re-confirm your tour.
Cancellation Notification: 48 hours cancellation notice required.
Cancellations received within 48 hours or No Show of the applicable tour
date/time will result in 100% cancellation fee of applicable tour price. All
cancellations must be made directly with GrandCanyonTravel.com. at

Minimum Numbers to Operate: Tours require a minimum number to operate.
For safety, tour routes or flight times may vary due to weather conditions. Tour
